From the driver home screen, the driver begins by selecting “Dash” and then “Create Driver Check.”
They’ll be presented with a list of templates. For this example, we’re selecting the “Daily Driver Vehicle Check.”
Next, the driver selects the appropriate depot—Autocheck—and enters the vehicle registration number: EV22XXX.
This automatically pulls in the relevant customer details and any internal notes. Once that’s done, the inspection can be created.
The system then displays key information:
– The estimated inspection time
– The number of sections
– And the total number of tasks to complete
It will also display any previous defects reported for the vehicle.
The inspection begins, and the driver can now carry out their vehicle check—inspecting each item and recording the results before starting their journey.
In this example, the driver identifies a chip on the mirror as a defect.
They record the issue, and the depot team is notified, allowing them to schedule repairs before the vehicle returns.
Once all checks are completed, the driver is prompted to:
– Enter the finished mileage
– Add any driver notes on the vehicle’s condition
– Confirm whether the vehicle is roadworthy or unroadworthy
In this case, the vehicle is still roadworthy and safe to drive.
The driver then completes the inspection, and the report is submitted.
